The short version: Uprise does not collect, store, or sell your personal information. Your journal, streak, and check-in data lives on your device and in your private iCloud account. We never see it.
Uprise stores all data — your streak, journal entries, check-ins, trigger logs, and settings — locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and iCloud CloudKit. This data is:
No account, email address, or personal identifier is required to use the app.
During onboarding, you can choose to share anonymous usage data to help improve the app. This is strictly opt-in — the app works identically whether you opt in or not.
If you opt in, the following events are sent to our analytics service (Supabase):
Each event is tagged with a randomly generated anonymous ID — a UUID created on your device and never linked to your name, Apple ID, email, or any other identifier. We cannot identify you from this data.
You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Privacy.
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, Uprise uses Apple's CloudKit framework to sync your data across your devices. This sync occurs entirely within your personal iCloud account — Uprise has no access to it. Apple's privacy policy governs this data: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Supabase — used for anonymous analytics (opt-in only). No personal data is transmitted. Supabase Privacy Policy.
Formspree — used to collect email addresses submitted via the waitlist form on this website. If you submit your email, it is stored by Formspree and used only to notify you when the app launches. Formspree Privacy Policy.
Your in-app data (streak, journal, check-ins) is retained until you delete it via Settings → Reset All Data or uninstall the app. Anonymous analytics events are retained for product improvement purposes and do not include any personal information.
Waitlist email addresses collected via the website are deleted once the app has launched and notifications have been sent.
Uprise is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect any information from users under 17. If you believe a minor has submitted their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and note what changed. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
